FIRELINE

FIRELINE

This small piece (10" x 11") has been hanging around for a while waiting on me to finish it. I had a 12" x 16" mounted canvas and decided to cover it in black fabric and attach the little quilt. I'm rather pleased with the finished piece since the canvas gives it enough presence to stand on its own. I also got to play with the electric staple gun which I haven't used for years. I'm a sucker for any kind of tool! Now perhaps I will hit the garage and make some frames using the chop saw - another of my favorites. But, since its hovering around 0, perhaps I should go back up to my warm studio and find some other bits and pieces to finish.

The black canvass makes it pop Roberta. Another nice piece. I would go where it is warm... but I hate the cold anyway so that would be a no brainer decision for me, LOL.

Glad you finished it. A great piece for sure. I just buy stretcher frames, I am too lazy to cut them out.

Very nice Roberta. Such lovely quilting on it. Yes, I'd go to the studio :)

Nice piece Roberta! I guess it just had to ripen a bit in your mind before finishing. The amount of quilting you've done is just right and fits the subject.

And, it's not as cold in Missouri as it is in northeast Nebraska where we're sitting on top of (and slightly under) over 2 feet of snow piled high in drifts by 2 prairie blizzards and temperatures of -17 to -20!
